Artists Books
I built a mini TV with laser-cut wood, electronics, and a long paper scroll, based on a poem I wrote during the pandemic.
This ceramic book cover shows the title of my work during the Deaf Artists Residency, based on my six-word memoir, “Again, we are not a monolith.” The cover includes tactile and Braille version.
I created a miniature book with handmade hanji (Korean paper).
I made an artists book with handmade hanji to honor haenyeo, the sea women divers of Jeju. Their tradition is fading away due to climate change and modernization. I used ink brush to show the divers’ grace and beauty.
I made an animated sequence on a mini panel room divider of a blooming lotus flower.
