Grandfather’s Letter (animation created during Pandemic lockdown)

Synopsis: A grandfather, who lives in a rural area, is preparing to visit his family in the United States for the first time. However, his granddaughter is deaf and does not know his native language, so he is contemplating on how he can communicate with her.

A short animated film, inspired by my memories of my grandfather. He used to write letters to me when I was a child, so this is a way for me to show my gratitude. The market scene is inspired by my travels to Korea’s open markets and seeing vendors sell different products. They also have stories behind their storefront.
